All David Sedaris is perfect, but this was my first. I remember friends from London visiting me in Brooklyn 25 years ago where I lived in a windowless room with unrelenting heating. We would sit at a coffee shop and read this aloud to one another for hour upon hour whilst chainsmoking and crying with laughter. I still pop his audiobooks on if I can't sleep.
