A continuous, one-paragraph inner monologue of a young writer attending a wake dinner hosted by her New York artist friends. It's a satire criticizing status-seeking elites of the art world. This book had me agonizing over what literature is supposed to "do." I felt like I was in college again. What IS a "writer"? What IS an "artist"? Are narratives not LIES? What is the responsibility of the "artist"? Is fiction CORRUPTIVE? Dubno does not have the answers but inspired some good questions. Also it's funny and made me laugh.
